Alexander Mikhailovich Gerasimov

Family portrait of A.M. Gerasimov was born into a merchant family in Kozlov (now Michurinsk), studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Portrait painter, landscape painter, master of thematic painting. People's Artist USSR, full member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR, Doctor of Arts.

By 1935, having painted many portraits of V. I. Lenin, I. V. Stalin and other Soviet leaders, A. M. Gerasimov, tired of the struggle for official recognition and success, went to rest in his native and beloved city of Kozlov. This is where it was created Wet Terrace ».

The history of the creation of the painting "After the rain" I made a sketch in two hours. It happened like this: I was painting a group portrait of my family on the terrace. The sun was hot, bright spots scattered across the greenery. And suddenly the clouds rolled in. A gusty wind, tearing rose petals and scattering them on the table, overturned a glass of water. It began to rain, and my family hid in the house. And I was seized with an unexpected delight. From fresh greenery and sparkling streams of water that flooded the table with a bouquet of roses, bench and floorboards. Fortunately, I found myself under the arms of a canvas subframe, and I feverishly began to write. There was no need to rearrange or add anything - everything that was before my eyes was so beautiful.

Conversation about the picture What is shown in the picture? What genre would you classify A.M. Gerasimov? From what details of the picture do we guess that it just rained? Did the artist manage to convey the feeling of freshness after the rain? The painting has two titles. Why do you think? Which title more accurately conveys the author's intent? What type of text will your essay be classified as? A. M. Gerasimova "After the rain (Wet terrace)"

Describe what you see. A round table, a bouquet of flowers in a jug, carved table legs, an overturned glass, the shine of wet surfaces, shadows from objects.

Vocabulary work. Summer rain; everything is filled with moisture; everything shines; fresh, shower-washed foliage; in the foreground and background; flames flicker in the glassy haze of fine roses; wet shine, dim bright sunlight; I remember the lines from the poem about the creation of A.Ya. Yashin; def about the thrown glass and kan; through the dense green foliage you can see the roof of the barn; you feel the freshness of the air and the silence; te rr asa, perila.

A. Yashin After the rain, the rain walked along the garden path. Drops on the branches hang like earrings. If you touch a birch, it will wake up And laugh. Laugh to tears. The rain rustled across the wide meadow. Even the flowers were surprised at each other: In the cups of leaves, on each blade of grass, A little light, a piece of silver.

Syntax. Punctuation. Write down the sentences, put punctuation marks: Lines from a poem by A.Ya. Yashin are recalled After the rain Drops on the branches hang like earrings In the cups of leaves on each blade of grass there is a little piece of silver. Everything glitters in the foreground, the railing, the bench, the terrace floor, and the table top. Roses are blazing in a glass decanter, raindrops are also hanging on them. There is a wet shine and dim sunlight all around, and you can clearly feel the freshness of the air and the silence of that moment that comes immediately after the rain.

An excerpt from L. N. Tolstoy's story "Adolescence" “But now the rain is getting smaller; the cloud begins to separate into wavy clouds, brightens in the place where the sun should be, and through the grayish-white edges of the cloud one can barely see a patch of clear azure. A minute later, a timid ray of the sun is already shining in the puddles of the road. I experience an inexpressibly gratifying sense of hope in life. My soul smiles just like the refreshed, cheerful nature. I lean out of the chaise and eagerly drink in the fragrant air. Everything is wet and shiny in the sun, like varnished. I can’t sit in the britzka, I run to the bushes, tear the wet branches of the blossoming bird cherry, beat myself in the face with them and revel in their wonderful smell.

Let's choose synonyms to avoid repetitions. Painting - canvas, landscape Artist - painter, landscape painter Drawn - depicted, showed

Color and mood The color in the picture has great importance. The artist creates an image with the help of color, conveys his attitude to the hero, evokes a certain mood. We see soft, calm colors: light green and dark green, pinkish-yellow, burgundy tones. These combinations create a summer mood. The silver tint on all items gives rise to a feeling of coolness. The artist loves his garden, his native nature very much. He likes to depict changes in nature.

Approximate plan 1. Before us is the picture of A. M. Gerasimov "After the rain." 2. Wet terrace. 3. Garden after the rain. 4. The color of the picture. 5. The mood that the picture creates.

"After the Rain" is one of the best landscapes artist Alexander Mikhailovich Gerasimov. Like others, this picture is distinguished by simplicity, clarity and festivity. A heavy summer rain has just passed. He left his marks on everything. Bushes and trees were soaked with moisture. Fresh, rain-washed foliage glistens on wet branches. “Drops on the branches hang like earrings,” wrote the poet A. Ya. Yashin. And I also recall the lines from his poem “After the Rain”: “In the cups of leaves, on each blade of grass, a little light, a piece of silver”. Everything glitters: both the roof of the barn, in the distance, in the background, and what is in the foreground: the railing, the bench, the floor on the terrace, the table top. Everything reminds of the raging elements. There is still a lot of water on all these items. Roses are blazing in a glass decanter, raindrops are also hanging on them. And next to it lies an overturned glass: it can be seen that the rain was heavy. There is a wet sheen all around, dim sunlight breaking through the parting clouds, and you can clearly feel the freshness of the air and the silence of the moment that came immediately after the rain.

During the classes.

1. introduction teachers.

Hello guys. You are in the artist's studio. What do you see here? (Easel, paints, sketches, canvases…) With their help, the artist creates a picture, a real miracle that lives and pleases us for centuries. Today we will also try ourselves in the role of artists, but not ordinary ones, but artists whose instrument will be the word.

2. Appeal to the emotional and visual memory of children. Induction.

Please close your eyes. Listen to the recordings.

(The recording "Thunderstorm. Calm. Joyful singing of birds" is turned on.)

What picture did you present? Tell me.

Do you like summer rain? Imagine that you went outside after a thunderstorm. What did you see? What did you feel? (Exchange of impressions.) So today we will prepare for an essay based on the painting by A. M. Gerasimov “After the Rain (Wet Terrace)” (Slide 1) and talk about what the artist A. M. Gerasimov saw after the rain, when he stepped out onto his terrace.

Let's repeat. What genres of painting do you know? What types of text? (slide 3)

Are you curious about the artist and how this painting came about?

3. A story about an artist and his painting. (slides 4-7)

A.M. Gerasimov was born into a merchant family in Kozlov (now Michurinsk), studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Portrait painter, landscape painter, master of thematic painting. People's Artist of the USSR, full member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR, Doctor of Arts.

The artist A. M. Gerasimov lived in Moscow for a long time and was a Kremlin painter: he painted pictures of the leaders of Stalin, Lenin, and other leaders of the country. But soon he moves to native city Kozlov (now it is the city of Michurinsk, Tambov region). He loved his house and garden very much. He especially liked to observe nature during the rain or after it. His sister recalled that one day he was shocked by the sight of their garden after a heavy summer rain. The artist shouted to his assistant to quickly give him a brush and palette. So in three hours the painting “After the Rain” was created, which Gerasimov considered one of his best paintings.

What interesting things have you heard about the artist and his painting? (The painting “After the Rain” was created in three hours!)

4. Formulation of the topic and objectives of the lesson.

The artist works with the help of paints, and we will work with the help of the word in our workshop. Tell me, what can you think of words? Right. Phrases, sentences, text. And what text can be written about the picture? (Story, essay.) Formulate the topic of the lesson. (“Preparation for an essay based on the painting by A. M. Gerasimov “After the Rain”.)

What do you think it means to write an essay on a painting?

Understand the artist's intent. Track how the artist realized his idea in the picture (composition, color scheme). To convey your attitude to the image depicted on the canvas, your thoughts, feelings.

How to prepare for writing?

It is necessary to collect the necessary words, phrases, sentences to make a good text; make an essay plan. Then it will be easier for us to write it.

So you said the objectives of our lesson. Tell me, why did we sit in groups?

We will work together, listen to each other and help each other.

Right. But do not rush to take someone else’s, maybe your option is also good, because the motto of our workshop is “You are all capable!”.

5. Lexical work. Deconstruction.

Highlight key words in the title of the picture. Write them down in a column. Rain, terrace, wet. Explain the word terrace. You can see the meaning of the word in explanatory dictionary. (Summer open (without walls) extension to the house, building.) Pay attention to how this word is spelled.

Is it possible to see terraces in our area?

Terraces are built in central Russia, in the south, while in our country, in the north, there are verandas next to the houses.

Choose synonyms for the words "rain", "wet". (Reading aloud synonyms.) Why do you need to pick them up? To avoid repetition. Pick up adjectives for the nouns "terrace", "rain". Adjectives enrich the content of the sentence, with the help of which we will compose the text.

6. Re-examination of the picture. Deconstruction and socialization (slide 8)

What is shown in the picture?

What genre would you classify A.M. Gerasimov?

From what details of the picture do we guess that it just rained?

Did the artist manage to convey the feeling of freshness after the rain?

The painting has two titles. Why do you think? Which title more accurately conveys the author's intent?

What type of text will your essay be classified as?

Describe what you see (slide 9)A round table, a bouquet of flowers in a jug, carved table legs, an overturned glass, the shine of wet surfaces, shadows from objects.

7. Let's spend vocabulary work(slide 10): Writing in notebooks

Summer rain; everything is drunk about moisture; everything shines; fresh, washed downpour foliage; on the front eat and background; flames blaze into the glass fine roses; wet gloss, not me bright sunlight; vsp oh m and nayu ts i lines from verse o creations of A.Ya.Yashin; def about the thrown glass and kan; through the dense green foliage you can see the roof of the barn; feel fresh air and silence and on; te rr asa, perila.

8. Appeal to additional sources. Gap. (slide 11)

Both poets and writers - masters of the word - write about what happens in nature after rain. Listen to one poem (recited by a trained student). What do the poem and the painting have in common? This is a poem by the poet A. Yashin "After the rain." It is in your textbook. What unusual words did the poet find to more vividly show the changes in nature? Compare with your text if you have any unusual words. Look in your group to see which words from the poem fit our picture. Write them out. Consider if there are artistic means here. (“Drops on the branches hang like earrings” - a comparison, “In the cups of leaves, on each blade of grass, a little light, a piece of silver” - a metaphor.) What is the role of these artistic means? Can these lines be used in an essay? How to arrange it?

Syntax. Punctuation. We will make sentences and write them down in a notebook, check what is written. (slides 12-13)

  1. I recall the lines from A.Ya. Yashin's poem "After the Rain": "Drops on the branches hang like earrings", "In the cups of leaves, on each blade of grass there is a light, a piece of silver."
  2. Everything glitters in the foreground: the railing, the bench, the terrace floor and the table top.
  3. Roses are blazing in a glass decanter, raindrops are also hanging on them.
  4. There is a damp sheen and dim sunlight all around, and you can clearly feel the freshness of the air and the silence of that moment that comes immediately after the rain.

Before you is an excerpt from the story of L. N. Tolstoy "Boyhood". Read it expressively (slide 14):

“But now the rain is getting smaller; the cloud begins to separate into wavy clouds, brightens in the place where the sun should be, and through the grayish-white edges of the cloud one can barely see a patch of clear azure.

What mood does Tolstoy's hero give rise to spring rain?

Are your feelings that you experience when looking at the picture similar to the feelings of the hero?

Find those combinations that can be used in the composition.

Pay attention to what amazing words the masters of the word find in order to show the picture more expressively, to more accurately express the feelings of the characters. Let's learn this skill.

Let's pick up synonyms to avoid repetitions (slide 15)

  • Painting - canvas, landscape
  • Painter - painter, landscape painter
  • Painted - pictured, showed

9. Discussion of ways to analyze the picture.

What first caught your eye when you looked at the picture? (Terrace.) So, how best to describe the picture? (First the foreground, and then the background.)

What else do we talk about when we describe a painting by an artist? (About the paints used by the artist)

What are paintings for? (The artist wants to say with his picture how beautiful our land is. We, the audience, enjoy the created images, we are imbued with a good mood.)

Right. So, in the essay you also need to express your mood.

10. Talk about the color scheme of the picture. (slide 16)

What colors did the artist use? Write in your notebook. Speak up in a group and say it out loud.

Why did the artist use these particular colors?

Color in a painting matters a lot.

What can you say about the artist - the author of the picture? (He loves his garden, his native nature very much. He likes to depict changes in nature.)

11. Talk about the mood of the audience (students).

Take a close look at the picture again. Do you like her? How? What mood does she create? What are your feelings? Write down 1-2 sentences.

12. Making a plan. Socialization. (slide 17)

How will we arrange the material that you have collected? Make your plan. Then discuss them in a group and highlight the best ones. Read them aloud. (Maybe something like this:

1. Before us is the painting by A. M. Gerasimov “After the Rain”.

2. Wet terrace.

3. Garden after the rain.

4. The color of the picture.

5. The mood that the picture creates.

13. Compilation of the text. Reconstruction.

Tell me, can we compose a text now? Compose your text based on the available material. Then read it to the group. Discuss. Decide whose texts are better. We will listen to them with pleasure. Good luck to you! Remember: you are all capable!

14. Listening to the best texts, group performances. Evaluation of other groups. Advertising. (slide 18)

What did you like about the essay? Good times?

What needs to be added?

15. Homework. (slide 19)

Supplement the text with notes from the notebook, figurative means, individual impressions and write a draft of the essay.

16. Reflection.

What have you learned today?

What discovery did you make today?

What is your mood?

Did you enjoy working in a group?

Which of the comrades surprised? How?

What did not go well in group work? Why do you think?

  • After the rain -
  • In the painting by the artist A. M. Gerasimov “After the Rain”, we see a terrace captured on a warm summer day. There has been heavy rain recently. Everything around is covered with a wet sheen. The floor flooded with water sparkles brightly, the railings and benches shine. A wet table on carved legs shines with a wet sheen. The puddles reflect the railings, the foliage of the trees surrounding the terrace.

From the blows of large drops of rain, a glass that stood on the table next to a jug of flowers fell, the petals fell from the flowers and stuck to the wet surface of the table. The branches of the trees in the garden sagged a little under the weight of the rain-washed foliage. Their greenery has changed, after the rain it looks more bright and juicy.

The still dim rays of the sun fall on the lush trees. The sky is gray, but it is already beginning to brighten, like windows washed after a long winter. A dim light also falls on the roof of the barn, which is visible through the foliage in the depths of the garden. She sparkles like silver, so adorned her with rain and the rays of the sun, which hardly break through the clouds.

Gerasimov's painting "After the Rain" made a very strong impression on me. Despite the fact that the weather has not yet completely improved when the author painted the picture, it is all filled with light, bright brilliance, amazing purity of nature washed by the summer rain. The artist himself was so delighted with the beauty of the refreshed nature that opened up to him that he wrote this wonderful work literally in one breath, without modifications or corrections.

Together with the article “Essay based on the painting by Gerasimov “After the Rain” (Wet Terrace), Grade 6” they read:

    Share:

Looking at Gerasimov's painting "After the Rain", one can feel the smell of a fresh summer downpour, one can hear drops hitting the leaves of trees. The entire terrace is flooded with light and the extraordinary purity of rain-washed nature. Reflections of objects in rainwater give the picture a special atmosphere of mystery, romance and comfort. I so want to stay on this terrace, immersed in this atmosphere of serenity, inhale the fresh air and forget about all the problems at least for a moment.

How realistic the artist conveys the beauty of wet surfaces: floors, tables, railings, benches. Basically, the creator uses dark colors, but through the branches of trees bent under the weight of water, one can see the sky, on which the last clouds are scattered. The rays of the peeping sun play merrily and sparkle in the drops of water. This gives the picture some kind of mysterious glow. Deep behind the trees, in the background, you can see buildings. Their roof literally shines.

In a transparent vase on a table, which is located on the left side of the terrace, there is a bouquet of beautiful garden flowers. They look so real that when you look at them, it seems that you are about to feel a subtle, delicate aroma emanating from them. Separately, I would like to note how the artist displayed the transparency of the glass from which the vase and glass are made.

It is impossible to unequivocally establish the genre of this picture. On the one hand, it depicts a landscape, because a rather large part of the picture is occupied by garden trees, the consequences of a natural phenomenon. But on the other hand, we see this beautiful bouquet of flowers, a table on which fallen petals lie, a glass that has fallen under the onslaught of heavy drops of water.

This picture is impressive and makes you think about the high. I think no one can remain indifferent after viewing this picture.

Composition based on the painting by Gerasimov Grade 6

Alexander Gerasimov is a versatile artist. At various times (pre-war and post-war periods), he painted portraits of the first persons in the Soviet state, as well as the depiction of natural phenomena interested the master. The theme of rain and the renewal of nature after it is not new, not only in general in art, but also in the work of Gerasimov. As a student, he depicted the roofs of houses and road surfaces after rain. But this canvas stands apart from them.

    The impression of the painting

The impression of the picture is contradictory. We see the image of the terrace after the rain. This phenomenon of nature itself can be interpreted in two ways - it is not only the renewal of nature with the hope of its revival, but also a kind of heavenly "tears". This is an element that a person cannot cope with, he can only contemplate, hiding in a secluded place and waiting out the bad weather. The artist is just in such a place - we see the image through his eyes from the opposite corner of the veranda.

In general, rain brings a sense of discomfort to a given space. But this discomfort is “experienced” by a person and the objects created by him - we see how the puddles on the bench of the veranda glisten - now you can’t sit on it; a table located at the entrance, as if meeting guests, at the moment cannot gather them around it; a glass that fell from the raging elements - all this is a confirmation of man's powerlessness in front of natural phenomena. Only the trees, saturated with life-giving moisture, shine, reflecting the sun's rays gradually coming out from behind the clouds. There is a change of cycles, one phenomenon replaces another, and it has always been and will be, and nature will continue to live and triumph no matter what.

    Painting colors

The color scheme that Gerasimov chose is not very diverse, but there is a lot of sense in its conciseness. We see natural, naturally occurring colors. However, they oppose each other in saturation, in the presence of life in them. The table and the wooden extension have dark brown shades, and the cut flowers in the vase "dilute" this gloom with their freshness, albeit the former: white, pink, subtle subtle shades, but the greens (leaves and stems of flowers) are darker than natural, lively ones. And their sorrow for their former life in the bosom of nature, the flowers show fallen petals on the table.

But in the end, life wins - the picture is planned to be divided into two parts - the foreground with a terrace (the world of people) and the back (the world of nature), where greenery of various shades prevails, proving that in nature ""there is no bad weather", which everything in it is harmonious. The sun is about to come out and there will be no trace of the rain...

    Composition

Alexander Mikhailovich Gerasimov is a famous Soviet artist whose works belong to the realism and socialist realism trends. Many of his paintings - landscapes, still lifes, portraits related to these areas - amaze with their liveliness and brilliance. Gerasimov's landscapes are seemingly simple, but in each work you can find something that will touch the soul, cause a surge of emotions, and be remembered for a long time. However, his work “After the Rain” (“Wet Terrace”) stands out among the other canvases of the artist. The creator himself paid special attention to this particular work in his memoirs about life and work.

This picture, painted in one breath in the painter's hometown of Kozlov, is not a momentary creation. Having left for a quiet town for the sake of a quiet and relaxing pastime, the artist, however, continues to create. Still lifes and portraits, sketches of landscapes, captivating with calm beauty, are born here.

The moral and creative preparation of the artist for writing this work went on for a long time. Gerasimov often sketched grass, objects, roads and roofs wet from rain. Many recognized that the artist succeeds in this experience especially well.

In her memoirs, the creator's sister colorfully described the creation of the picture: on the day the canvas was painted, there was a particularly strong and stormy summer downpour. After him, nature looked unusually fresh and picturesque: the water, sparkling in the sun, lay on the foliage, the floor of the veranda, the paths of the garden. And above the trees of the garden the freshly washed cloudless sky receded into the distance.

Admiring the view opening before him, the artist stood at the easel. Literally in three hours one of the most picturesque canvases artist.

What attracts this light, even poetic work? The painting depicts a rather ordinary landscape - a corner of a gazebo or veranda with carved railings and a bench along them. The composition of the work is extremely simple: on the right, somewhat disturbing the balance, there is an old table with a vase in which there are flowers - most likely, simple garden flowers. On the left plan - the floor and the railing and bench going to the right. Everywhere: on the floor, bench, table - water shimmers and glistens, and immediately behind the gazebo the garden begins, also wet from the recent rain.

The colors are clean, bright, joyful - the green of wet foliage, the gold and dark bronze of a rain-washed tree, the clear azure of the sky that begins behind the veranda and is reflected in the puddles on the floor. A bouquet in a vase stands out with a special color spot - cheerful and pleasant pink color combined with white and green.

The picture does not leave behind a feeling of straining, artificiality. The images captured by the artist are fresh and light, direct and pure - they feel the swiftness and lightness of the brush of the painter himself.

How is such an effect of reliability and at the same time lightness of the image achieved? When working on the canvas, the artist used the technique of reflexes - this is the name of the artistic and visual technique, in which small details play a huge role. In this case, the key points that create a special mood of purity and freshness are reflections and reflections: juicy green strokes on the veranda are reflections of overhanging garden greenery, bluish and pink spots on the table are reflections and reflections left on a wet surface by a bright spot of the bouquet. The entire canvas is permeated with an interweaving of shadows and light, but the shadows do not leave an oppressive and oppressive feeling, on the contrary, they are colorful and multi-colored. A lot of silver and mother-of-pearl are sun glare on wet surfaces and leaves. When creating images of wet surfaces, the painter used the glazing technique to achieve the effect of special authenticity. When using such a tool, the paint is applied in several layers - first, the main stroke of paint, then several translucent and completely transparent strokes. At the same time, surfaces and objects painted in this technique look brilliant, as if varnished. This becomes especially noticeable in the fragments of the picture depicting a section of the plank floor of the veranda, the surface of a long bench, and a table top.

The contrasting spot is the bouquet, painted in deliberately rough, broad strokes. Thanks to this, the flowers look especially impressive - voluminous and lively.

You should also pay attention to lighting accents. It is thanks to them that the picture looks lively and somewhat solemn. The main sources of light are outside the perspective of the canvas - somewhere behind the trees of the garden. At the same time, the light is dim, it does not hit the eyes - it creates the effect of a summer sun peeking out from behind the clouds, passing after noon and heading for sunset. The trees in the background of the canvas, as if woven from thousands of shimmering green glass and reminiscent of stained glass work, are illuminated along the contour and thus isolated from the overall composition of the picture. This artistic technique is called counter-jour.

The general mood of the picture is fresh, sparkling, joyful. The artist managed to reveal the poetry and beauty of ordinary, rather mundane things. The beauty of the objects depicted is simple and unsophisticated, but with the help of these very simple, at first glance, things flooded with water, the creator also conveyed the freshness of a cool garden still covered with rainwater.

The sincerity and purity of feelings that Gerasimov was able to convey to his work fascinate and charge with a special energy of freshness. It seems that you will reach out your hand, touch the clean, still wet leaves of a hanging branch - and cool drops will pleasantly refresh your skin after a stuffy and hot summer day. A fresh breeze will bring with it the smell of wet earth and grass, the sun, gently looking into the gaps between the trees, will touch your cheek - and here it is, simple and sincere, like the picture itself, the happiness of being close to nature will overwhelm you, like a stormy downpour that has just passed.

Alexander Mikhailovich Gerasimov is a bright representative of socialist realism in painting. He became famous for his portraits depicting party leaders. But there are also very lyrical works in his work, landscapes, still lifes, images of Russian life. Thanks to them, “After the Rain” is known today (description of the painting, history of creation, expressiveness) - this is the topic of this article.

The history of the painting "After the rain" by Gerasimov

But Alexander Mikhailovich did not hide from him, as the rest of the household did. He was shocked by how the drops of water accumulated on the foliage, on the floor, on the table shimmered with different colors, how fresh and transparent the air became, how, having fallen on the ground in a downpour, the sky began to brighten and clear. He ordered to bring him a palette and in just three hours he created a stunningly expressive landscape. The artist Gerasimov called this picture - "After the rain."

However, the landscape, written so quickly and swiftly, was not accidental in the artist's work. Even while studying at the school, he liked to depict wet objects: roads, plants, roofs of houses. He managed to convey the glare of light, bright, rain-washed colors. Perhaps for many years A.M. went to this landscape. Gerasimov. A.M. Gerasimov "After the Rain": a description of the painting

The plot of the picture is surprisingly simple and concise. A corner of a wooden deck, a bouquet of flowers on a round dining table, and lush greenery in the background. By the brilliance of wooden surfaces, the viewer understands that heavy rain has recently ended. But moisture does not create a feeling of dampness and discomfort. On the contrary, it seems that the downpour muffled the summer heat and filled the space with freshness.

It is felt that the picture was created in one breath. There is no tension and heaviness in it. She absorbed the mood of the artist: light, peaceful. The greenery of the trees and flowers in the bouquet are written slightly carelessly. But the viewer easily forgives this to the artist, realizing that he was in a hurry to catch this wonderful moment of harmony with nature.

    Expressive means

This landscape (A.M. Gerasimov “After the Rain”), the description of the painting, the expressive means used by the artist, give art critics reason to talk about the high painting technique of the author. Despite the fact that the picture looks simple and even careless, it showed the talent of the master. Rain water made the colors more saturated. Wooden surfaces not only shine, but also reflect the color of greenery, flowers and the sun, cast in silver and gold.

An overturned glass on the table also attracts attention. Such a seemingly insignificant detail clarifies a lot, makes the plot easy to read. It becomes clear that the rain began unexpectedly and rapidly, took people by surprise, forced them to hastily collect dishes from the table. Only one glass and a bouquet of garden flowers were forgotten.
